THE DA VINCI HOAX

Watched the most controversial movie of summer on its first day of showing...THE DA VINCI CODE...and well...errrrrrrrr...what's it all about!?!?!?!?!? Too much attention was given to the movie...critics didn't realize that all these acts of protests against its release left the people asking what's in the movie that would shake one's religious belief, most especially the Catholics????...and I was one of those whose interest in the movie got intensified!!! To be honest, I have never read the book even if everyone else has bragged about the beauty of the story and critics have spoken about its fearless discussions on the so-called 'secrets that the Catholic church has kept all this time about Jesus Christ', if there was any!!! Tom Hanks starred as Robert Langdon, a genius who delved into writing books about the mysteries of faith and worshipping. He got entangled in a situation involving a murder of an old man who has kept the secret about the last descendant of Jesus Christ on earth! It was interesting indeed! But it left me with the question: how come Jesus got a descendant??? The movie revolved around resolving the mystery of the holy grail...which according to the movie, never existed in Da Vinci's last supper...that it was made symbolical in the person of Mary Magdalene who was shown as part of the last supper seated on the right side of Jesus...blasphemous???...not yet...coz what's more shocking is the issue on Jesus Christ being married to Magdalene!!!...oh well...quite a fictional thing for me!!!...(where did that come from anyway????!!?!?!?)...a product of a creative mind!...that when Jesus was suffering on the cross, Mary Magdalene had their child in her womb!!!...whoa!!!...what can Mel Gibson say about this that this thing was not shown in his movie...Passion of the Christ!!!...never saw Mary Magdalene with a large tummy!!!...convince me!!! The Catholic Church clergymen have been very vocal about their disgust with the contents of the movie and the book itself...no wonder!...because it was shown that there exists this underground group of clergymen that plots the killing of those people who bear the secrets about Jesus Christ's descendants in our time...that this group turned a man named Cyrus, who is a known thief and murderer, into an assassin, who was kept to believe that he was fulfilling the tasks of an angel of God by killing every man the church tells him to terminate...perhaps, the clergy got too sensitive on this part of the movie because it violates the teachings of the church...oh well...anyway, it was shown there too that the Vatican has no knowledge about the activities of this group. On Mary Magdalene, she was introduced in the movie as the woman Jesus shared a married life with. She was venerated by a certain group who were killed by a group of crusaders...the Church's army. She kept the secrets of the past and the history of man's faith in her bosom. She was given a code name of ROSE!...she was kept in a tomb with carvings underneath a glass structure which represents the chalice and the man somewhere in France!...interesting!!! On Audrey Tautou, she played Sophie who is shown to be the last descendant of Jesus Christ living!... She lost her family in an accident when she was 4 years old and was left in the care of a man who made her believe her grandfather, but later on, was found to be not. She got enraged by the death of her so-called grandpop. She only wanted to find out who killed him but got to know about her beginnings as the story developed and established that she wasn't just an ordinary woman...she belongs to royal blood!... Did it shake my own faith?????.............NO! There is nothing in the movie that would change my faith in God and the trust I have in my religion. Am a Catholic!...no doubt about it! After watching the film, there was only one thing I asked..."That was it?!??!" Undoubtedly, the stars in the movie did a great job!...the director did even well!... But... THAT WAS IT!!!
